Workday Functional Architect
Software Engineer
Lead the design and optimization of Workday HR solutions across a global portfolio, shaping business processes, integrations, and compliance while guiding stakeholders and technical teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and configure Workday HCM modules (Core HR, Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking) to meet the diverse needs of multiple portfolio companies.
- Analyze complex business processes, translate requirements into functional specifications, and design scalable solutions.
- Define integration strategies with external systems (finance, payroll, benefits) using Workday Studio, EIB, and Cloud Connect.
- Ensure compliance with regional labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies across North America, Europe, and APAC.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and change‑management teams to govern data security, tenant administration, and release cycles.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience implementing and supporting Workday HCM in a multi‑entity, global environment.
- Strong expertise in business process design, requirements gathering, and functional documentation.
- Proven ability to design and manage integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, or similar tools.
- Deep understanding of payroll, compensation, and compliance regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with a track record of guiding cross‑functional teams.
