Wordpress Developer - Canada based - Band Of Coders

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced developer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is primarily focused on WordPress and WPML (approximately 80% of the work) , with the remaining 20% involving development across Next.js, Ruby on Rails, and Express/Node.js projects. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating multiple WordPress websites in maintenance mode, and potentially contributing to additional projects built on modern JavaScript and Ruby frameworks. This is a client-facing role, so excellent communication skills are essential. US or Canadian citizenship and residency are a must.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance and updates on multiple WordPress websites
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions
• Implement new features and functionality on existing websites and applications
• Optimize website/application performance and ensure compatibility with different browsers and devices
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a WordPress developer
• Proven experience with WPML plugin
• Strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with website optimization and troubleshooting
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• US or Canadian based with availability during regular business hours

Nice to have:

• Working experience with Next.js, Ruby on Rails, and/or Express/Node.js
