Responsibilities
- Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project specifications, ensuring responsive and scalable web solutions.
- Design visually compelling layouts using wireframing tools and implement them with HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript frameworks, and Bootstrap for a polished user interface.
- Integrate third-party APIs and web services to enhance website functionality, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, SOAP, and custom PHP scripts.
- Optimize websites for SEO best practices and ensure fast load times through performance tuning and scalable architecture.
- Manage version control using GitHub or SVN; implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment; utilize tools like Jenkins or Git for continuous integration.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to develop user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that improve user experience (UX).
- Maintain websites on various hosting environments such as Siteground, Liquid Web, Amazon, Cloudflare and other cloud platforms while ensuring security best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in front-end development with proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS), JavaScript (including frameworks like Angular or React), TypeScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress development including theme customization, plugin development, and site optimization.
- Familiarity with back-end technologies such as PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, C#, Java (Spring Framework), Django or ASP.NET is a plus.
- Experience working with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server (Microsoft SQL Server), MongoDB, SQLite; knowledge of data visualization techniques is advantageous.
- Understanding of system architecture principles for developing scalable web applications; experience with Docker containers and DevOps tools like Ansible or Jenkins is preferred.
- Knowledge of web services (RESTful API, SOAP), JSON data formats, XML processing, GraphQL APIs, and developing responsive web design projects for various devices.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies using Trello or Jira; experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
