We are looking for a skilled WordPress / Shopify Developer who is dedicated to their craft, writes clean and maintainable code, and can hit the ground running. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, building custom solutions, optimizing existing code, and delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress and Shopify websites, converting designs into responsive interfaces, developing custom functionality, integrating APIs and payment gateways, and improving the performance and scalability of our web products.
Requirements
- 1.5+ years of professional experience developing web applications using WordPress and/or Shopify.
- Strong experience converting Figma/PSD designs into responsive, pixel-accurate websites .
- Ability to develop custom WordPress themes and customize existing themes.
- Experience working with Shopify themes, Liquid, Shopify APIs, and custom functionality .
- Good knowledge of Figma and Photoshop .
- Hands-on experience with WordPress page builders such as Elementor, Visual Composer/WPBakery , or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress plugin development, customization, hooks, filters, and custom post types .
- Experience integrating payment gateways, third-party services, and APIs .
- Strong understanding of PHP and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) .
- Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX , and responsive web development.
- Ability to develop cross-browser compatible and standards-compliant front-end interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with CodeIgniter or other PHP frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL , including writing and optimizing complex SQL queries. PostgreSQL knowledge is a plus.
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and third-party API integrations .
- Good understanding of website performance optimization, including page speed, database optimization, caching, asset optimization, and Core Web Vitals .
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex WordPress/Shopify issues.
- Ability to work with existing codebases and improve code quality without breaking existing functionality.
- Strong understanding of Git/version control and development best practices.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to handle multiple projects and deliver tasks within deadlines.
- Ability to understand complex requirements and develop scalable, optimized, and maintainable solutions .
