We have an immediate career growth opportunity with our Information Workplace Services team for a talented Systems Administrator. This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, multi-platform, multi–disciplined, classified systems environment resolving support issues for the engineering community using helpdesk and task assignment methods.
This position will be onsite in Morrisville, NC.
What YOU will do:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows and RHEL servers.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and internal teams.
Respond to and resolve system-related incidents and service requests.
Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
Implement and maintain security best practices for system administration.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments IAW NIST 800-53.
Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity.
Test and validate disaster recovery procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures.
Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and compliance.
Qualifications YOU Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
DoD SECRET security clearance.
CompTia Security+ certification.
Extensive experience with applying DoD STIGs to Windows and RHEL servers and workstations.
Proven experience as a System Administrator with proven experience in Windows and RHEL.
Proven experience as a System Administrator with proven experience using ESXI machines.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM).
