About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Windows System Engineer to provide advanced administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting across customer Microsoft infrastructure environments. You will work extensively with Windows Server, Windows workstations, Active Directory, identity services, and Hyper-V virtualisation.
This role involves building and managing server environments, resolving complex Level 3 escalations, improving system stability, and supporting customers with clear, practical technical guidance. Success will require strong technical judgement, hands-on PowerShell capability, and the confidence to work independently in a remote customer-support environment.
Ideal Profile
Experience and Role Requirements
- Approximately five to six years of relevant Microsoft infrastructure or systems-engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Proven experience supporting Windows workstations in business or customer environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in building, configuring, and managing Hyper-V environments.
- Experience administering Active Directory domains and associated identity services.
- A strong track record of resolving complex Level 3 infrastructure escalations.
- The ability to diagnose technical issues independently and take ownership through to resolution.
- Experience within customer-facing IT support, consulting, or managed-services environments.
- A proactive approach to learning new Microsoft technologies and infrastructure platforms.

- Microsoft Windows Server certifications from 2016 onwards, or equivalent.
