Systems Engineer
Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of Windchill environments on Linux/VMware platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade Windchill servers and related components on Linux/VMware infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive optimizations.
- Manage database (SQL) maintenance, backups, and replication for Windchill data.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Bash/Python) for routine tasks and deployments.
- Collaborate with application developers and business users to support new releases and customizations.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, perform vulnerability assessments, and apply patches.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience administering Windchill in a production environment.
- Strong Linux system administration skills and familiarity with VMware virtualization.
- Proficient in SQL and database administration for Windchill.
- Experience scripting in Bash or Python for automation.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
