Overview
Champion the integration and peak performance of WiFi and Bluetooth technologies in wearable devices as the APAC Firmware Team Representative. Utilize advanced technical knowledge and deep vendor collaboration to troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize wireless connectivity, ensuring seamless interaction between internal engineering groups and key partners such as Qualcomm.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical liaison between internal teams (RF, Antenna, Validation, BSP, connectivity software) and external semiconductor vendors to accelerate resolution of hardware integration and production challenges.
- Diagnose, debug, and resolve WiFi/Bluetooth chipset issues by conducting in-depth analysis using tools like Logcat, dmesg, and QXDM.
- Manage Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) and Board Data File (BDF) modifications, as well as firmware integration and deployment for Qualcomm-based wireless systems in wearable products.
- Engage directly with semiconductor partners, notably Qualcomm, to maximize device reliability, performance, and feature rollout.
- Oversee engineering and technical activities in contract manufacturing factories and labs, ensuring all deliverables meet project timelines, requirements, and compliance standards.
- Design, develop, and maintain scripting or automation solutions (using Python, C/C++, or similar) for device-level diagnostics and factory test automation.
- Support RF bring-up, validation, and certification workflows—including SAR processes—through hands-on technical contributions and process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive expertise with Qualcomm WiFi/Bluetooth chipset architectures and associated development tools.
- Proven hands-on experience in NVM and BDF modification, firmware integration, and deployment for Qualcomm wireless platforms.
- Advanced aptitude in wireless log analysis using Logcat, dmesg, QXDM, or comparable logging and diagnostics tools.
- Strong command of Python and C/C++ for test automation, diagnostics, or tool development in device or factory settings.
- Practical experience in supporting RF hardware bring-up, validation, and wireless certification (e.g., SAR) during the production lif
