About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate wellbore plans to ensure compliance with Alberta Energy Regulator standards and industry best practices.
- Analyze drilling data and well logs to optimize drilling performance and mitigate risks.
- Coordinate with field teams to implement safety and environmental protection measures during drilling operations.
- Prepare technical reports, incident investigations, and regulatory submissions related to wellbore activities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and refine drilling protocols and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in wellbore engineering or drilling operations.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta drilling regulations, safety standards, and environmental protection requirements.
- Proficiency in drilling data analysis tools and CAD software.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
