About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet business requirements.
- Implement front‑end features using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, ensuring responsive and accessible interfaces.
- Maintain and optimize MySQL databases, write efficient queries, and perform routine data migrations.
- Integrate third‑party APIs and services, handling authentication, data exchange, and error handling.
- Manage version control with Git, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality releases.
- Monitor site performance, security, and uptime; apply patches, updates, and best‑practice configurations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience developing and maintaining WordPress sites.
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL.
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, theme development, and plugin ecosystem.
- Experience with Git workflow, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot performance, security, and compatibility issues in a fast‑paced environment.
