Software Engineer
Lead electrical functional qualification for the W93/Mk7 warhead, driving design, testing, and analysis to ensure mission‑critical performance in a Navy sub‑launched ballistic missile system.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute electrical functional qualification plans for the W93/Mk7 warhead, ensuring compliance with Navy and DoD standards.
- Design, build, and maintain test hardware and software, including instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Analyze test data, troubleshoot failures, and provide root‑cause analysis to improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, software, systems engineering) to integrate electrical subsystems.
- Document test procedures, results, and qualification reports for internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high‑integrity electrical testing and qualification.
- Proficiency with test instrumentation, data acquisition, and analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of missile or defense system electrical architecture.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
