The Work:
The Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Systems Engineer to support seamless operations of secure multimedia environments with a focus on facilitating, monitoring, and troubleshooting VIP and General Officer-level conferences. This position demands a highly skilled professional with a strong technical acumen, a customer-focused mindset, and expertise in enterprise VTC system management. The VTC Systems Engineer will ensure zero-defect audio/video quality and provide uninterrupted command and control capabilities in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor backend network traffic and collaborate with network operations to manage Quality of Service (QoS), provision enterprise bandwidth allocation, and resolve complex network routing outages and failures for H.323 and SIP traffic.
Apply and maintain DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) across all VTC components, manage firewalls, and oversee the enterprise COMSEC architecture.
Manage and key COMSEC hardware (e.g., TACLANEs) for secure enclaves.
Configure bridging resources (MCUs) and manage room calendars/bridge resources using tools like Cisco TMS or Outlook to prevent scheduling conflicts.
Conduct physical sweeps of conference rooms 30 to 60 minutes prior to high-priority events to test dial-in connectivity, cameras, and microphones.
Resolve complex network outages, routing failures, and server crashes.
Serve as an escalation point for Tier I & II helpdesk tickets regarding in-room issues, such as bad cables, dropped calls, and presentation sharing.

Qualifications – Here’s What You Need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or equivalent military/civilian operational experience.
Active DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE).
CCNA Collaboration or Cisco CCT Collaboration (minimum).
Crestron Master Programmer, Crestron Technologist, or Extron Authorized Programmer/AV Associate.
Active Secret Clearance, with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
Mastery of Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS) and Cisco Meeting Server (CMS).
Expertise in the integration of cryptographic equipment (TACLANEs, KIVs) into secure VTC enclaves.
