This role involves translating AI concepts into product proposals, prototyping solutions, and building an AI team focused on delivering AI-enabled medical insights.

About the Role
As the VP of AI and ML/Systems Architect, you will be responsible for translating the company’s AI vision into practical product proposals. You will refine these proposals through prototyping and develop a robust system architecture to achieve the company's mission of delivering AI-enabled expert medical insights to patients, clinicians, and pharmaceutical companies.
Responsibilities
- Map the company’s AI vision into practical product proposals.
- Evolve and refine proposals through prototyping.
- Develop a system architecture to deliver AI-enabled expert medical insights.
- Apply "big-picture" thinking and knowledge of deep learning, reinforcement learning, and AI algorithms to architectural choices.
- Build and provide technical leadership to the AI team, comprising ML/software engineers and data scientists.
- Collaborate with a team of electrical and software engineers, biochemists, and expert doctors to define and architect powerful AI solutions.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record of architecting, designing, implementing, and deploying large-scale software systems.
- 10+ years of experience as an architect/senior software engineer, with at least 3 years as an architect for AI-based systems, preferably in healthcare applications.
- Proficiency with data strategies, data mining, and statistical analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment.
- Knowledge of and direct experience in building digital healthcare solutions is highly preferred.
