VoD TV Broadcast Technical Architect (AWS, TV) 6 Month Contract initially Outside IR35 Rate Approx £520-565pd TBC UK based Remote/Hybrid (Occasional Client site in West London as required) Immediate start preferred or short notice
Our Broadcast industry client are recruiting for a Technical Architect from a Video on Demand/TV Broadcasting sector background with In-depth understanding of modern cloud infrastructure etc including strong, hands- on experience of AWS technologies (ideally AWS Media Services – MediaConvert, MediaConnect, MediaLive). Broadcast Media VoD sector knowledge should include a general understanding of the Media Supply Chain, exposure to scheduling systems, play-out, VoD preparation, Working knowledge of media codecs, container formats and protocols etc .
Working with a major broadcast media sector clients (broadcasters, network operators etc.) Providing design and delivery of bespoke, cloud-based software solutions.
The technical architects are involved throughout the project lifecycle:
- Work with our customers’ product owners and other stakeholders to understand business requirements, and their technical teams to understand technical constraints and ways of working
- Help select the most applicable technologies and make the key design decisions within the project to enable a successful delivery
- Work closely with the pre-sales and development teams to explore different implementation options, estimate effort and produce a Statement of Work
- Document our designs and collaborate with project management, development and test teams to plan our work
- Collaborate with the development team to establish the project: environments, CI/CD pipelines, automated test strategy and tooling etc.
- Support the project team throughout the delivery phase of the project, helping overcome design and implementation challenges that may emerge
- Help ensure that the delivered product meets our standards of quality, security and reliability
- Support our customers and development/test teams through launch and beyond
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with stakeholders
