Systems Engineer
Senior engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and managing VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, and NSX‑T. Leads disaster recovery, high‑availability, and hybrid infrastructure projects while automating operations and ensuring performance and capacity optimization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere environments (vCenter, ESXi, vSAN) across on‑prem and hybrid clouds.
- Implement and support Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and Live Recovery Manager for robust disaster‑recovery solutions.
- Architect and operate Stretched/Metro Cluster configurations to achieve high availability and scalability.
- Configure and manage VMware NSX‑T for advanced networking, segmentation, and security.
- Engineer lifecycle management, performance tuning, capacity planning, and root‑cause analysis for virtualized workloads.
- Automate VMware operational tasks using PowerCLI, scripting, and configuration management tools.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver complex datacenter and hybrid infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and vSAN.
- Hands‑on expertise with Site Recovery Manager, NSX‑T, and Stretched Cluster architectures.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, PowerCLI) and familiarity with automation frameworks.
- Proven ability to perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and root‑cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross‑team project delivery.
