Software Engineer
Lead the definition of next‑generation display and optics architecture for Vision products, covering hardware prototyping, silicon and ASIC design, firmware, and algorithm development while balancing performance, manufacturability, and cost.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and compare emerging display and optics technologies, quantifying trade‑offs in performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Define system‑level architecture for new display solutions, incorporating panel characteristics, optical behavior, and human‑perception requirements.
- Specify detailed hardware components, including display panels, driving ASICs, and associated firmware algorithms.
- Develop and prototype firmware and algorithmic solutions for display calibration, image processing, and power optimization.
- Conduct hands‑on characterization and validation of prototypes, generating data for executive concept demos.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with hardware, silicon, software, and product teams to ensure seamless integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in display or optics hardware development, including ASIC or silicon design.
- Proficiency in firmware development and algorithm implementation for display control and calibration.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to model trade‑offs between performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Hands‑on prototyping experience and ability to communicate technical concepts to senior leadership.
