About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and verify RTL for video encoder/decoder and computer vision IP blocks using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Develop and maintain ASIC and FPGA prototypes, ensuring performance, power, and area targets are met.
- Collaborate with firmware and software teams to integrate hardware modules into end‑to‑end video pipelines.
- Perform algorithmic analysis and feature decomposition to translate video standards (H.264, H.265, AV1) into hardware logic.
- Lead verification efforts using simulation, formal methods, and hardware emulation to validate functional correctness and timing.
- Document architecture, design decisions, and test plans for cross‑functional review.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in ASIC/FPGA video codec design and verification.
- Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog, RTL design flow, and EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence).
- Strong understanding of video compression standards and computer vision algorithms.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
