About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and productionize state‑of‑the‑art NLP models to solve complex business problems across finance, risk, and operations.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists and engineers, providing technical mentorship and setting best‑practice standards for model development and evaluation.
- Collaborate with product owners, risk analysts, and data engineers to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
- Ensure model robustness, interpretability, and compliance with regulatory standards throughout the model lifecycle.
- Drive research initiatives, publish findings, and stay current with emerging NLP techniques and frameworks.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master’s in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field with 8+ years of hands‑on experience in NLP and machine learning.
- Expertise in Python and deep‑learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, including model optimization for large‑scale deployment.
- Proven track record of delivering production‑grade NLP systems (e.g., language models, text classification, information extraction) in a financial or regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS or equivalent), and MLOps practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and mentor junior talent.
