Verification Systems Engineer to support a world‑leading telescope project, applying systems engineering, control, and testing expertise to ensure high‑performance instrumentation and real‑time software meet stringent scientific requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end verification of telescope subsystems, including optics, detectors, and control electronics.
- Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and automated test harnesses to validate performance against scientific specifications.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and integration teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects in a fast‑paced development environment.
- Document test results, generate traceability matrices, and produce detailed verification reports for stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of verification processes, tools, and best practices.
Requirements
- Strong background in systems engineering and verification for complex scientific instruments.
- Experience with control systems, real‑time software, and hardware integration.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and test automation frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
