Verification & Validation Engineer specializing in HIL, simulation, and autonomy validation for autonomous trucks, using Python, C++, ROS, MATLAB/Simulink, and Linux to ensure safety and performance of Level 4 systems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute HIL test plans for Level 4 autonomous truck platforms, covering perception, planning, and control modules.
- Create and maintain high‑fidelity simulation models in MATLAB/Simulink and ROS to validate system behavior under diverse scenarios.
- Automate test execution and data collection using Python and C++ scripts on Linux‑based test rigs.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with cross‑functional teams to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain version‑controlled test assets and documentation, ensuring reproducibility and compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field with 3+ years of V&V experience in autonomous or robotics systems.
- Proficiency in Python and C++ programming for test automation and data analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with ROS, MATLAB/Simulink, and HIL test equipment.
- Strong Linux development skills and familiarity with version control (Git).
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
