About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain biometric software components using GoLang and Java within a Spring Boot framework.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate biometric data streams into DHS Office of Biometric Identity Management systems.
- Implement secure, scalable APIs and services that meet stringent DHS security and compliance requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Document architecture, design decisions, and technical specifications for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on biometric or identity management systems.
- Proficiency in GoLang and Java, with hands‑on experience building microservices using Spring Boot.
- Deep understanding of security best practices, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably with government or defense agencies.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability clearance.
