Software Engineer
Utility Project Engineer responsible for designing, reviewing and qualifying plumbing, electrical and mechanical utility projects, coordinating engineering teams, and ensuring construction drawings meet standards and project goals.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the review and approval of design proposals and qualifications for utility projects across plumbing, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Department to audit construction drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and codes.
- Develop and present design concepts, cost estimates, and feasibility studies to stakeholders.
- Manage project timelines, track progress, and resolve technical issues to keep projects on schedule.
- Facilitate cross‑functional communication between utility teams, contractors, and external consultants.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering with a focus on utilities.
- 3+ years of experience in utility project design, review, and construction oversight.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (or similar CAD tools) and strong understanding of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including schedule control and risk mitigation.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities.
