About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical strategy for the Traffic Foundation platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across Walmart’s digital ecosystem.
- Architect and oversee the deployment of distributed, high‑throughput traffic management services on AWS, leveraging Kubernetes and containerization.
- Lead a cross‑functional engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, mentorship, and high performance.
- Drive end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability to accelerate feature delivery while maintaining operational excellence.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and data teams to embed best practices and meet enterprise‑grade standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, networking, and platform engineering at enterprise scale.
- Proven track record building and scaling cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS with Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, observability, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team‑building skills.
