Unreal Engine 5 Graphics Programmer

Epic Games is seeking a talented Graphics Programmer to join their Unreal Engine 5 team in Yokohama, Japan. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and optimizing new and existing graphics features across various platforms, working collaboratively to provide the best tools for content creators. The ideal candidate will have strong C++ and 3D graphics programming skills, experience with modern graphics APIs, and be fluent in both Japanese and English.

We are looking for a talented Graphics Programmer to join our Unreal Engine 5 team. You will be helping us build and maintain rendering systems while working in a highly collaborative environment.

In this role, you will

Implement new graphics features within Unreal Engine 5
Optimize existing features in Unreal Engine 5 across various platforms
Work with other programmers and designers to provide the best tools and features for content creators
Debug and fix issues with rendering systems and features
Write robust, maintainable, and high-performance code

What we're looking for

Strong C++ programming skills
Strong knowledge of GPU architecture
Experience with at least one modern graphics API (DirectX 12, OpenGL, Vulkan)
Experience developing real-time 3D graphics
Strong linear algebra skills
Strong debugging skills
Experience with performance optimization
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Fluency in Japanese (business level or higher)
Fluency in English (business level or higher)
Passion for games and game development
