The Opportunity

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Unified Storage Platform Architect to define the future architecture of OCI's next-generation storage platform. This role will lead the convergence of Object Storage and Block Storage into a unified platform, establishing the architectural foundation for the next generation of OCI storage services.

What You'll Do

• Define the long-term architectural vision for OCI's unified storage platform.
• Lead the convergence of Object Storage and Block Storage.
• Architect distributed storage systems for hyperscale.
• Establish architectural patterns for storage services, control planes, placement algorithms, and data movement.
• Drive storage scheduling, rebalancing, and live migration strategy.
• Partner across Storage, Compute, Product, Security, and partner engineering organizations.
• Lead complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Influence technical direction through architectural leadership.
• Mentor senior engineers.
• Partner with executive engineering leadership to shape OCI's long-term storage platform strategy.

• Have extensive experience architecting and operating large-scale distributed storage systems.
