We are seeking an exceptional UI/UX Designer to closely collaborate with our Software teams. The UI/UX Designer will play a critical role in shaping user experience through creativity and inventiveness to elevate the usability and aesthetics of UWorld applications.
Responsibilities:
Design and Create
- Generate working prototypes to communicate interaction and UI design concepts.
- Creation of wireframes/prototypes for web and mobile applications.
- Creatively develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts across multiple platforms with a focus on user interaction and experience.
- Design and format marketing collaterals that creatively promote UWorld’s product message and brand positioning.
Consult and Collaborate
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop prototypes for new feature sets or refresh existing ones
- Work closely with software engineers to ensure effective design implementation
- Explain complex UI concepts to non-designers and demonstrate working UI code to executive leadership and development teams
- Present and defend prototypes and key deliverables to peers and executives
- Work with other department(s) and product development teams as needed
Technical/Quality Assurance
- Review and proofread designs for errors before printing or publishing
- Establish and promote HTML/CSS guidelines and industry best practices
Requirements:
- Degree in a related field (e.g., Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, HCI, Interaction/ Information Design, Multimedia Design, Communication Design)
- 4+ years of experience designing UI/UX for responsive web and/or mobile applications.
- Experience conveying ideas and concepts via sitemaps, storyboards, wire-frames, click-through prototypes, etc.
- Proficiency in prototyping software, such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Marvel, Canva, or In Vision Suite.
- Experience creating and designing website wire-frames and landing pages.
- Experience designing websites and digital/print material.
- Experience with graphic and image-editing tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Experience working in CSS, HTML5, and Bootstrap.
- Experience creating and enforcing brand standards and style guides.
- Experience with design elements such as behavioral economics and analytical dashboards highly preferred.
Soft Skills:
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills (email, phone, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and research skills.
