UI/UX Designer TS/SCI with Polygraph - General Dynamics Information Technology

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with software developers and product owners to translate functional requirements into intuitive, accessible UI designs.
• Produce wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
• Implement front‑end design specifications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508).
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to iterate and improve the user experience.
• Maintain design systems and style guides to ensure visual consistency across multiple applications.

Requirements

• Proven experience in UI/UX design for web‑based applications, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end design processes.
• Hands‑on proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Deep understanding of accessibility guidelines and ability to embed them into design and code.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.
