Ardigent Consulting delivers strategic consulting, Agile transformation, and enterprise IT solutions to federal agencies. We bring deep SAFe and federal acquisition expertise to large-scale federal modernization programs.

The engagement we are working on will establish the enterprise architecture, SAFe operating model, and governance standards for a multi-team Agile Release Train (ART) supporting a major federal modernization program. We are looking for experienced Agile delivery professionals to join this high-visibility federal transformation initiative.

Role Summary

The UX Researcher / Designer is a hybrid role that combines user research and visual/interaction design to support the program's user-centered design (UCD) practice. This person conducts user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to inform product decisions, while also translating research findings and UCD strategy into visual mockups, wireframes, prototypes, and UI design specifications. The role reports into and supports the UCD/UX Lead, helping build and maintain the design system and UI component library, and working directly with feature development teams to ensure UI designs are implemented faithfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to identify user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
• Develop and maintain UCD/UX artifacts, including personas, journey maps, research findings, and usability reports.
• Translate research findings and UCD/UX strategy into visual mockups, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed UI design specifications.
• Help define and maintain the design system and reusable UI component library to promote visual and interaction consistency across products.
• Define and refine look and feel, page composition, navigation patterns, visual hierarchy, and interaction design for user-facing applications.
• Collaborate with the UCD/UX Lead, Product Manager Liaison, and delivery teams to ensure user needs and research insights are incorporated into product design and prioritization.
• Work directly with UI/front-end developers to communicate design intent, review implemented interfaces, and provide feedback or approval on delivered UI work.
• Support Section 508 / accessibility considerations in research and design activities.
• Operate effectively in an Agile / iterative delivery environment, supporting rapid design refinement across sprints, releases, and program increments.
