Lead end‑to‑end UI/UX design and research for defense‑centric applications, transforming complex legacy data into intuitive interfaces while meeting DCSA standards and ensuring mission‑critical usability.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full UI/UX lifecycle for designated capabilities, from concept through deployment, ensuring high usability and strict adherence to DCSA standards.
- Design and iterate wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using industry‑standard tools, translating complex data feeds into clear, actionable interfaces.
- Conduct formal user research, structured stakeholder interviews, and task‑based usability testing, establishing success criteria and measuring impact on mission workflows.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate legacy system data, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency across platforms.
- Document design decisions, create style guides, and maintain design system components for scalability and consistency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience in a technical or defense environment.
- Proficiency in design tools (Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD) and prototyping techniques.
- Strong research skills with experience in usability testing and stakeholder interviews.
- Knowledge of DCSA standards and defense system workflows.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to translate complex data into user‑friendly designs.
