Software Engineer
Provides day‑to‑day support for transit technology systems, ensuring data integrity, secure integrations, and reliable reporting while delivering technical assistance to users and coordinating with vendors.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot transportation technology platforms, including hardware, software, and cloud services.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and timely reporting for operational and performance metrics.
- Design, implement, and monitor system integrations and APIs between transit applications and third‑party services.
- Apply cybersecurity best practices to protect sensitive data and respond to security incidents.
- Provide tier‑1 and tier‑2 technical support to internal users and external partners.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, data management, or transportation technology.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Hands‑on experience with system integration, APIs, and cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
