About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, conducting performance reviews and fostering professional development.
- Develop and execute long‑term transportation system strategies, including capital improvement plans for roads, bridges, and transit assets.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure delivery within scope, cost, and quality targets.
- Coordinate with government agencies, private owners, and other stakeholders to secure approvals, align objectives, and resolve technical issues.
- Oversee design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and best‑practice engineering methods.
- Lead business development efforts, preparing proposals, presentations, and client relationship strategies to grow the transportation portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation; Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering, including project delivery and team leadership.
- Proven expertise in budgeting, capital planning, and managing multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS, and transportation modeling tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of successful client engagement and business development.
