About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as District Asphalt Manager, coordinating with asphalt plants and roadway crews to resolve operational issues.
- Review and verify asphalt plant reports, tickets, and pay factor sheets for accuracy and compliance.
- Inspect asphalt plants and field locations, ensuring adherence to SCDOT asphalt specifications and safety standards.
- Prepare and distribute QA results for monthly estimates to Resident Construction Engineers.
- Assist Resident Construction Engineer offices with e‑ticketing and related documentation.
- Oversee proper sampling and testing procedures to maintain quality and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in asphalt plant operations or pavement engineering.
- Strong knowledge of SCDOT specifications, QA/QC processes, and e‑ticketing systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software for data analysis and reporting.
