Software Engineer
Transportation Engineering Associate I supporting encroachment permit oversight, pavement maintenance, and guardrail projects using EPPS Permit System and field supervision skills.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Resident Maintenance Engineer in reviewing and approving encroachment permits before submission to district authorities.
- Supervise and train permit technicians on the EPPS Permit System and related documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors and local municipalities to ensure compliance with permit conditions and project schedules.
- Manage maintenance activities including guardrail repair/installation, chip seal, resurfacing, full‑depth patching, pavement markings, and vegetation control.
- Prepare reports, track progress, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and encroachment activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with encroachment permitting processes and EPPS or similar permit systems.
- Strong knowledge of pavement maintenance techniques and guardrail standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS mapping tools.
