POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
THE ROLE
The Division of Construction Operations (DCO) administers construction and maintenance projects statewide from design to final acceptance. This office is involved with Alternative Project Delivery, Construction Claims & Litigation, E-Construction, Materials Testing and Central Surveys. The Quality Assurance Unit is responsible for Pavement Advisory Team, Work Zone Safety, Value Engineering, Records Examination, Constructability Plan Reviews, and Standard Specifications revisions.
The Division of Construction Operations – Advisory Team's primary role is to continually provide technical support to the Connecticut Department of Transportation units to improve the design, construction, and administration of various statewide construction projects. The Transportation Engineer 2 (Construction Engineering) position is responsible for assisting a Transportation Engineer 3 (TE3) in acting as a liaison between the Construction Districts, other Units, and the Division of Construction Operations. In this role you will assist a Transportation Engineer 3 in reviewing project records and performing other project related functions. The successful candidate will verify the completeness and correctness of project documentation and final packages for construction projects and perform related duties.
