Transport Data Analyst role focused on turning logistics and fleet data into actionable insights using SQL, Python, and visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau to boost operational efficiency and profitability.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and integrate data from transport management systems, telematics, and finance platforms.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI/Tableau to monitor fleet performance, delivery KPIs, and cost metrics.
- Perform statistical analysis and predictive modelling in Python to identify trends, optimise routing, and forecast demand.
- Collaborate with Operations, Fleet, Finance, and senior leadership to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
- Automate routine data pipelines and reporting processes using SQL and scripting to ensure timely, accurate information flow.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis within transport, logistics, or supply‑chain environments.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; strong Excel skills for ad‑hoc analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with Python (pandas, NumPy) for data cleaning, analysis, and modelling.
- Demonstrated ability to build visualisations and dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of presenting complex insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
