Torch Technologies is seeking an intermediate level Tracking, Filtering, EO/IR Data Analyst. The ideal candidate will have experience/expertise with electro-optical and infrared data analysis (EO/IR), image processing, and uncertainty analysis. The Data Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, interpretation, and algorithm development to support data reduction from customer test events. A well-suited candidate will be self-motivated, with demonstrated communication skills (oral and written) and capable of working both in a small team and unsupervised.
As an EO/IR Data Analyst your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
Analyze EO/IR sensor data, including target detection, tracking, filtering, and signature analysis.
Perform sensor data fusion and uncertainty analysis.
Support multi-spectral sensor calibration and characterization.
Analyze algorithms and their interaction to improve performance.
Interpret data, identifying trends, and analyze results using statistical techniques.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar) or equivalent experience AND 5+ years of experience in EO/IR data analysis, image processing, and statistical analysis. OR
Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar) or equivalent experience AND 3+ years of experience in EO/IR data analysis, image processing, and statistical analysis.
Active Secret Clearance with ability to maintain
Experience with data processing software and tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R, Java, or other relevant tools).
Strong analytical, computational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Schedule: M-F; 8-5
