Software Engineer
Seeking a TPS Engineer to drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, improve manufacturing processes, and support high‑quality injection‑molded part production for major automotive OEMs.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and sustain Toyota Production System (TPS) principles across the plant to enhance flow, reduce waste, and improve on‑time delivery.
- Lead Kaizen events, value‑stream mapping, and continuous‑improvement projects targeting cycle‑time reduction and cost savings.
- Apply Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC) to identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and verify results through data‑driven analysis.
- Collaborate with design, tooling, and production teams to optimize mold designs, process parameters, and fixture layouts for injection‑molded components.
- Develop and maintain standard work, visual controls, and performance metrics to ensure consistent quality and safety compliance.
Requirements
- Post‑secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Tier‑1 automotive manufacturing environment, applying TPS, Lean, or Six Sigma tools.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional improvement projects and train shop‑floor personnel.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab) and data visualization.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on safety and quality standards.
