We are seeking an exceptional Technical Lead for our Indianapolis Bakery, a pivotal role within our plant's leadership team. This position demands a dynamic professional with a robust technical background and proven leadership capabilities, ready to drive innovation, new technology implementation and operational excellence.
As a key member of our leadership team (PLT), you will be instrumental in bridging complex technical insights with strategic business objectives. Your ability to influence, communicate gaps, and champion best practices will be critical in delivering measurable results that impact waste reduction, efficiency gains, and sustained growth across our operations.
How you will contribute
- Be trusted and viewed as a technical subject matter (SME)
- Serve as an internally recognized expert in process development and engineering, identifying, defining, and solving complex business problems through a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing technology.
- Conduct rigorous analysis of product formulation, packaging, and specifications for raw to ensure that all new formulas and initiatives introduced at the Indy Clif bakery are fully runnable on the production lines to guarantee general efficiency (GE%) and waste % targets of the year based on annual contract (AC).
- Leverage deep knowledge of oven functionality, utilizing advanced thermal devices (e.g., Mole, Scorpion) and statistical analysis to establish and maintain substantial centerlines.
- Actively participate in Technical Readiness Level (TRL) reviews and discussions, shaping the technical direction of the business.
- Lead the execution and oversight of Alternative Line Qualifications (ALQ), provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for trials.
- Part of Commissioning, Qualification and Verification (CQV) methodology for bottom-up and top-down initiatives ensuring meticulous documentation developed for centerlines, critical parameters to the process (CTP’s) and critical parameters to quality (CTQ’s).
- Lead Strategic Projects & Process Optimization:
- Drive process development and optimization to deliver tangible consumer benefits through new product presentations, quality inspired projects and significant cost savings.
- Develop bottom-up initiatives, technical approaches, detailed plans, deliverables, and timelines to ensure resolutions are delivered on time and within budget.
