Software Engineer
Tier 2 Technical Analyst responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex network and server issues using Windows and Linux platforms, scripting, and monitoring tools to ensure high availability and performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve Tier 2 technical issues related to network infrastructure, servers, and applications.
- Utilize monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) to proactively identify and remediate performance bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate routine tasks and streamline incident response.
- Collaborate with Tier 1 support and cross‑functional teams to provide timely escalation and resolution.
- Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices in knowledge base articles.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in network and server support, preferably in a managed services environment.
- Hands‑on experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
