Seasoned Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing, enhancing, and maintaining core on‑prem and cloud systems, providing advanced technical leadership, mentorship, and escalation support across multiple technology stacks.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server and VMware environments supporting critical business applications.
- Architect, deploy, and manage AWS cloud resources, ensuring scalability, security, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure incidents, serving as the primary escalation point for Tier 2 issues.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) to streamline provisioning, configuration, and patch management.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define infrastructure requirements, perform capacity planning, and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience managing Windows Server, VMware, and AWS environments.
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls) and experience with routing/switching concepts.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior staff, and act as an escalation point for complex problems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus.
