Tier 1 Support Engineer - Cloud & Managed Services - Calian
Software Engineer
Provide 24/7 Tier 1 support for cloud and managed services in a NOC environment, handling incident triage, system monitoring, and basic troubleshooting across AWS, Azure, Linux and networking platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to alerts from cloud and on‑premise infrastructure using NOC tools.
- Triage and resolve Tier 1 incidents, escalating complex issues to senior engineers.
- Perform basic configuration, patching, and maintenance on Linux servers and network devices.
- Execute routine scripting tasks in PowerShell or Python to automate repetitive processes.
- Document incident details, resolutions, and contribute to knowledge‑base articles.
Requirements
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure services in a support or operations role.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLAN).
- Proficiency with Linux command line and basic system administration.
- Ability to write and modify scripts in PowerShell or Python.
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude for 24/7 shift work.
