Software Engineer
Lead data exploitation for aerospace systems, transforming flight and maintenance data into actionable insights using Python, SQL, and advanced analytics to support lifecycle decision‑making.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines to ingest, cleanse, and store flight and maintenance data from multiple sources.
- Develop analytical models and visualisations to uncover trends, predict failures, and optimise aircraft performance.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations and maintenance teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Ensure data quality, integrity and compliance with defence and aerospace standards.
- Document processes, produce technical reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with SQL databases.
- Proven ability to build data pipelines and perform advanced analytics.
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Experience in a regulated or defence environment is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
