About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the end‑to‑end integration of Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) for spacecraft and launch vehicle components.
- Perform and validate thermal analyses, modeling heat loads, material performance, and environmental effects.
- Collaborate with structural, propulsion, and avionics teams to ensure TPS designs meet system requirements and schedule milestones.
- Develop and maintain analysis tools and scripts in MATLAB and Python to automate data processing and reporting.
- Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, and mitigation plans, providing clear documentation and status updates to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in thermal analysis and systems integration.
- Proven expertise in TPS design, material selection, and thermal testing for space applications.
- Strong proficiency in MATLAB and Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
- Excellent project management skills, including schedule coordination, resource allocation, and cross‑functional team leadership.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both engineering and non‑technical stakeholders.
