About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAGD, steam flood, and CSS depletion projects to maximize recovery and efficiency.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineers, geoscientists, and field staff to develop production strategies and troubleshoot operational challenges.
- Analyze production data, interpret reservoir performance, and recommend adjustments to improve thermal efficiency and reduce costs.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in thermal recovery operations, preferably in SAGD or steam flood environments.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in reservoir simulation and production data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, capable of working across multidisciplinary teams.
- Valid Canadian work authorization and willingness to travel to field sites as needed.
