About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute thermal experiments on superconducting qubit chips, including cryogenic temperature mapping and heat load measurements.
- Develop and validate finite element thermal models to predict device performance and guide fabrication improvements.
- Operate and maintain cryogenic instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and LabVIEW‑based control software.
- Analyze experimental data using Python, generating reports that inform design iterations and roadmap decisions.
- Collaborate with electrical, materials, and software teams to integrate thermal insights into system‑level optimization.
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field with experience in cryogenic or quantum device characterization.
- Proficiency in thermal modeling (ANSYS, COMSOL) and data analysis (Python, NumPy, Pandas).
- Hands‑on experience with cryogenic test setups, low‑noise measurement techniques, and LabVIEW programming.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to translate complex experimental results into actionable design recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for cross‑functional teams.
