Test Specialist - Cloud ETL, DW Automation - HCLTech
Software Engineer
We're looking for a Software Engineer focused on designing and building scalable technical solutions. This mid level role requires 3+ years of relevant experience.
About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for functional, integration, and regression testing
- Develop and execute API automation test suites to validate backend services and integrations
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Harness
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high-quality releases
- Perform end-to-end testing across distributed cloud-based systems
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely defect resolution
- Contribute to test strategy, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure adherence to Agile best practices and actively participate in Scrum ceremonies
- Strong experience in automation testing, including integration and regression testing
- Hands-on expertise in API testing and automation (REST, SOAP, Postman, Rest Assured, etc.)
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools, preferably Harness
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies in an enterprise environment
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Java, Python, or JavaScript)
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of GCP products, especially Agentic / AI-driven product suites
- Experience with cloud-native testing and microservices architecture
- Exposure to modern DevOps practices and tools
- Understanding of performance and security testing concepts
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Proactive mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
