About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the test strategy for stellarator hardware, including design, integration, and performance verification.
- Lead a multidisciplinary test engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and resource planning.
- Develop and maintain automated test rigs and data acquisition systems using Python, LabVIEW, and custom hardware interfaces.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and safety teams to ensure test results drive iterative hardware improvements.
- Establish test documentation standards, generate detailed reports, and present findings to senior leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in test engineering or hardware validation, preferably in high‑energy or advanced physics environments.
- Proficiency in Python and LabVIEW for test automation and data analysis.
- Strong background in designing and operating data acquisition systems and test fixtures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects from concept to delivery.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate technical results to diverse stakeholders.
