Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret securiyt clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Specifics:
- This position involves full-time, in-lab systems integration, configuration, and testing work and equipment staging in the Orlando, FL GDMS facility lab.
- Enthusiasm for extensive travel: During deployment, multiple times per year, extensive travel is required for multiple weeks at a time to field equipment and execute regression tests and acceptance test procedures. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about travel for trips as long as 4+ weeks in duration at a time.
- We're looking for a long-term Integration and Test engineer who can become an expert in the subject matter and related systems.
Working successfully within a team, the Senior Test Engineer will execute system tests and document system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle. This will entail subject matter ownership and tasking in the following areas:
- Drive inputs in collaborative development of system architecture from an integration perspective
- Learns and takes ownership of integration processes and procedures, including network configuration of live training systems
- Generation of system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools
- Development of test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products
- Development of functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems
- Design, development and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software and systems for all phases of product development and manufacturing
- Setup and staging of live training equipment in the GDMS Orlando facility
- Regression testing and new feature testing
- Travel to military sites to integrate and test new equipment, for several weeks at a time
- Conduct full-system, on-site regression testing and final acceptance testing with customer representatives
- Documentation of test results and identification and tracking of bugs found during testing
