QA Engineer
A contract Test Engineer role focused on configuring, maintaining, and validating compute systems for lab testing, executing test plans, troubleshooting issues, and building basic automation to improve testing efficiency.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and provision compute platforms with required operating systems, drivers, and test software.
- Maintain lab hardware and multi‑system integration environments, ensuring readiness for test campaigns.
- Execute detailed test plans, capture results, and document findings in a clear, reproducible manner.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain lightweight automation scripts (Python, Bash) to streamline setup, execution, and reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate test hardware into larger system workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Linux system administration and command‑line tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation tasks.
- Hands‑on experience with hardware test rigs, instrumentation, and multi‑system integration.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD concepts to support automated test flows.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to document technical procedures clearly.
