Test Engineer - General Dynamics Mission Systems

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for embedded hardware and software components.
• Design, execute, and document manual and automated test cases to verify system functionality, performance, and safety.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to identify defects, track resolution, and validate fixes.
• Ensure test artifacts meet DO-178C certification requirements and maintain traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide test status updates, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW) and proficiency in C++.
• Knowledge of embedded systems architecture and real‑time operating systems.
• Familiarity with DO-178C or other safety‑critical certification standards.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
